SINOPSIS : Adaptación de una novela de Yan Geling titulada ‘Las 13 mujeres de Nankín’. Narra la historia de trece prostitutas que se hicieron pasar por estudiantes universitarias para servir a las tropas. Christian Bale interpreta a un sacerdote católico norteamericano que presencia horrorizado la masacre de Nankín (1937), en la que las tropas japonesas asesinaron a miles de ciudadanos chinos, y que decide salvar a los fugitivos acogiéndolos en su iglesia.
